Hi:
I have a 2005 Glastron GS269 with a Volvo GI 5.7 engine. I am new to boating. The engine has been overheating and I am trying to figure out what is going on. I notice it is more when I have 5 people on board (two adults including me and 3 teenagers) setting in the back with one of the teenagers on a wakeboard. If I don't get up on plane quickly, the engine overheats. Any ideas?
Also on the rear of the boat there are two sailfish vents. I traced the hoses. They just lay loose in the bottom of the boat. What is the purpose of this vent? One of the hoses was laying in the water in the bottom of the bilge. I said to myself that cann't be good and raised it out of there. Did I do the right thing?
Thanks,
Tim
