I am getting new long block ready, and have run across something i can not remember. transferring the wiring harness over to the new block, on the breaker panel there are three circuit breakers, while looking at the front of the motor, the rightmost breaker 50amp, i can not remember where the wire was attached, assuming power, but it doesnt reach the starter with ease, and the eyelet is too big to be properly installed on the back of the alternator, it is approx 10 gauge wire, red with black coating, goes to a large two pin plug, and new wire heads down to eyelet.
any clue where this thing goes? my guess would be starter, but it sits on the manifold pretty tight, maybe that is what the black coating over the red wire is for?
