Volvo Duoprop Vibration

I have a new (33hrs) Volvo DP and it has a wicked vibration that comes and goes as it pleases. Only vibrates(sometimes) when tilting the outdrive up as to bring the bow up when fully on a plane. Any ideas what it might be from??? Thanks, Scott

Probably the u-joints. They growl when you tilt them away from horizontal. You shouldn't run your drive above the beach setting, you'll rip out the bellows. If you think it's excessive and as you said only 30 some hours on it, take it back to the dealer for inspection.

5.7 GI. Not sure what the exact model the drive is. It's not the composite drive. Never had the vib. until now(33hrs.) and it only does it when we are leaving port and then dissapears after running for a while...
