Volvo DuoProp Steering Hop and Clunk

Hi gurus!<br />Have an '01 Monterey 24' with a 7.4 L Volvo DuoProp. At low speed, or idle, when the steering wheel is against the stop or near it, either side, there is often, but not always a knock that comes out of the rear end. Also, the steering wheel starts jumping back and forth.<br /><br />I don't suppose this is a) normal, b) cheap and easy to repair?<br /><br />Suggestions? <br /><br />Thanks in advance.<br /><br />Dano

Sounds like the ujoints are at there limit of travel. Normal for most to make some noise when hard over, if yours is real noisy, it may need new ujoints.
