Volvo DP wobbling

When I put the motor in neutral, and I sit at idle, I get a pronounced wobble in the wheel. I haven't checked to see if the outdrive is wobbling, too. It goes away as soon as I put it in gear. <br /><br />I am new to Volvo outdrives.

just wondering how high the outdrive is trimed when you getting this problem<br /><br />it should never run above the trim limit<br /><br />tommays

The lower unit is trimmed down in normal operating position when this happens.

check for worn bushings on the steering fork where the fork shaft passes into the transom. if its not bad and not leaking its a judgement call.

It seems as if it would be more hydraulic related. It only wobbles in neutral with the engine idling. In gear it stops wobbling and steers perfectly. I was thinking the pump may be failing and not building enough pressure at idle.

what kind of dp? look closely at your ram/shuttle and cable connection when the problem is occuring.

Didn't know there was more than one type of duo-prop. I'll check to see.
