Volvo DP-S bellows

While winterizing this weekend, I was running the engine (2004 5.0 GXI, DP-S) off the flush attachment on the engine. While it was running, I noticed water dripping from the lower bellows. What runs through the lower bellows on this drive? I assume exhaust since there was water getting in there from the flush attachement. I haven't changed the lower unit oil yet, waiting on the prop wrench to pull the inner prop(drain is behind props) so no sure if there's any water in the drive. Still under warranty, so either way its going to the dealer in the spring, but I was just curious at this point.

That is the exhaust bellows, and there is a drain hole in that bellows so the water can drain when the drive is up.

Don - so with the drive down, running off the flush adapter at the engine, a slow drip from that bellows is normal?

thanks!
Craig

Unless you can talk the water into not falling out of the hole.
