volvo bellhousings for 4 cyl

hi,can any one tell me if flywheel bellhousing off 86 volvo 4cyl will fit my 83 volvo 125 aq.seller dosent know eng.size of 86 .looking for 1 to rebuild with new bearing .that way can pull eng.and do straight swap.thanks in advance for the help.

I`ve got one off a actual Volvo inline 6 cylinder.

only thing seller says is theres b20 cast on side of engine block.he also said it had dual 1 bbl.carbs if that helps.thanks for your help.

now seller says off 151 aq with 280 drive mines 125 aq with 270 outdrive will they interchange?thanks in advance for any help.

It should fit, IF your engine has front motor mounts. If not, there may be no way to support the engine with the newer bellhousing.

Why don't you just get the bearings your housing needs, remove the engine, bellhousing replace the bearing and put it all back together?

the point was to have a housing ready to go back in rt away.as id have to rent space to do this.so being as they charge by the day having 1 ready would mean i could be done faster. thanks for the advice.

Go to the "Volvo Penta Parts" link at the top of this page and check the PN for the housings for both engine. If the part numbers are the same, then the housings are the same. If they are different, it may not work.
