Here's one for you...

I'm working on rebuilding a Volvo AQ-275 leg that attaches to a Volvo AQ131D motor. Thru the miracle of Ebay, I've been able to find a 270 leg that looks to be in relatively decent shape for $1.00. Yep, a buck. It's one of those "local pickup only" deals, and it happens to be about 30 miles from my house.

The question - can I just attach the new leg in place of my 275? Physically its possible since the drive's identical, but I'm worried about gear ratios and such. My 275 drive needs a new suspension fork and intermediate housing. Should I just swap from the 270?

Thanks in advance.

What motor was the other drive from? A 4cyl is a different ratio than a V8.

Along with the gear ratio, the other drive may have a different sized attachment pin for the helmet.
