Re: Volvo aq131a/275 steering arm ???
Just to clear something up for me do you know how deep the pivot pin goes. Could it be that the one bolt that broken off in one of the smaller holes in the pin is threaded in too far and is not letting the pin turn at all to get it loose?
I've been following your struggle with your pin removal but have not been able to come up with any great ideas, what a PITA!!!!
I pulled the pin out of my drive to get a look.

The pin is about 7/8 on an inch long
I wish I had some great advise.
If the broken bolt was tightened down and snapped than yes it would prevent the pin from turning however I think i would continue to try to get it to turn, at least a little bit. You may need to use a chisel on the side of one on the holes and hammer on it a bit to break it loose, back and forth. Lots of wd 40.
The threads in the small hole of the pin are only in the bottom half of the pin, I wonder if you could tap the upper part with a tap or self tapping screw, then grind off the bottom of the screw so it goes through where the old threads are and turn it out that way. Or drill it and tap it, just don't drill through the gear box. As Don said, a little pressure, then tap around it with a mallet.
Not sure what else to say. The pins got to come out one way or another!!!
I'll try to send you positive vibes.
