I have a 2007 Volvo penta 8.1Gi engine and have had annual service performed each year. Replaced risers and manifolds last June. Last week we were cruising about 3200 rpm when alarm sounded and engine shutdown. Would not restart. Dealer said water was in all cylinders and all had low compression in all cylinders and computer recorded heat alarm code 0217 stage 2. impeller was in good shape. Dealer indicates they must pull engine to determine cause of problem before VP ext warranty will review to see if claim is covered, however they indicated probably not. Has anyone had similar failure or might know cause or any other advice I should know. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
