Hi, I have a problem that I'm having zero luck in troubleshooting.
Boat: 1999 fourwinns horizon 24, well kept. 7.4L. Problem started about 2 years ago. After running about an hour, all of a sudden the engine will lose most of it's power. It doesn't die, but just boggs way down. Will not come up on plane. After cooling for an hour, it will run OK again for a while.
I just had it serviced, have replaced plugs and filters. Just replaced the distributor control module. Still having the same problem.
Any idea what to do next? One mechanic is suggesting the coil. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
