Hi, I am having a problem with an engine that will not go over 2500 rpms. I think it has something to do with what someone told me was a SLOW system which limits rpm due to temperature or oil pressure limits. Does anyone know how this system works. Best I can tell there are two sensors at the bottom of the block in the coolant drain, one oil temp sensor near the filter, two temp sensors in the risers, and one coolant sensor at the thermostat housing(which I assume is for the fuel injection). This engine has been replaced using all the old sensors, the boat was not winterized and everything was frozen. I wonder if anyone knows the correct operation or measurements of these sensors/switches.
