Volvo 5.0 Trim Stuck

I have a Glastron boat with a 5.0 volvo (i/o) in it. When I was floating over a sand bar with the trim all the way up (with the motor in nuetral and running)we made contact with the sand bar. It was light contact. However, after floating over the sand bar my trim would not go down. When I hit the trim switch nothing happens - there is no "sound or noise" like there normally is when you engage the trim. It's now basically locked in it's most upright position

I checked all the fuses and they are all fine. I may have continued to hit the switch even though the lower unit was all the way up - not sure though.

Any suggestions?

Volvo has used many different trim/tilt systems over the years, mind telling us what drive model you have and year?
