It will run all day at no-wake speed and stay at 161 degrees but bring it down to idle after most any length of cruise and the temp climbs to just under 200 and sometimes sets off alarm. I have been shutting it down until it reads 175 and then on restart it will come right back to 160 range.
The raw water pump impeller is new at the end of last season and I have inspected it last week. I have done the flow test by detatching the raw pump out hose and securing it level with the top of the block. At fast idle water exits the hose a full four inches. I have also attached a clear hose to the end of that same hose which I have left in place for an air leak test. Under no conditions do any bubbles appear. I have also replaced the thermostat.
