Volvo 4.3 GS Horsepower ?

Whats the horsepower for a 4.3 GS Volvo. I thought this engine had 2 barrel carb but it has a 4 barrel carb. What is the horsepower on this engine????????????????

I think its 210 although I have read early ones were 205. GL is 190.<br /><br />Regards<br />Chris

I think it depends on the year, beacuse the HP increased with the Vortec heads after the mid-1990's.<br /><br />The early 4.3 4-bbls were 190, but jumped to 205 or 210 with the Vortec engines. The two bbl engines started at 175 before Vortec.

Thanks Guys, It is a 1997 so it would be safe to say 210hp.
