Volvo 3.0GS/Mando alternator wiring

I have a 2003 Four Winns 170 with a Volvo-Penta IB/OB. 3.0 GS engine and 4-wire Mando alternator. The alternator wires had been removed to facilitate Alt. replacement, but never reinstalled. I have no idea where the wires connect. There is a lrg orange w/ smaller orange spliced to it. A lrg black, a med black and a red w/ blu or black tracing. any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem as 4Winns, on a Larson 3.0 Volvo, spliced orange wire \ Black\ Purple \ Red but don't know how to connect to the Mando alt.
Can't see the reply from Don but as it looks to have worked can anyone post it again please?
