volvo 290 outdrive trim problem

Hi guys i have an aq271 setup with a 290 outdrive my problem is that my tilt down works but now my tilt up doesnt i tried switching the solenoids to try and see if it would reverse the problem and it doesnt i get the same thing. i also tried to take one connector off of one solenoid and leave the other one left on and the solenoid clicked only when i had the tilt down hooked up to it. any advice would be appreciated thanks!!

Switching solenoids won't work like that, because they are both used going both directions.
There were 2 different trim pumps and electrical systems used then. Do you have a plastic reservoir on the trim pump, or a round metal one.
