Volvo 280 Stern Drive ?Conveyor Stop?

Where is this supposed to be mounted? Is it something that can be left on permanently? The lift motor on mine is not working and I have to prop it up to put the boat on the trailer. There was a home made one on there, but it doesn?t allow the reverse locking mechanism to engage.

Trailer bar!!! Used for trailering down the road.Remove to operate.
3 holes on each side above #32 Above the 3 holes is a single it fits there. Be careful not to damage your lock mechanisim.Jerry
