I was exiting the jettie at moss landing to go crab fishing yesterday afternoon, wind blowing while idiling out of the mouth started to apply power and it felt like the engine kicked out of gear tried forward and reverse and nothing engine reving my son responded by saying he thought the prop fell off. Called for a tow did not want to mess around and end up like the squid boat they were dragging up the beach with a D6 towed back to the ramp, boat on trailer towed home. while flushing the outdrive would go in and out of gear no problem. after reading the forums last night could it be the drive saver that is malfunctioning under load any thoughts?
