Volvo 270? motor test

I have acquired what seems to be the motor for a 270 tilt unit. It has four connections on the motor connector, what is the test proceedure to see if it works?

Blue and green wires will be hot wires (one at a time for opposite directions, and black and brown are grounds.

How do you plan on hooking up a 4 wire motor to a 2 wire system?

I bought a bunch of parts to use some of them to repair my 275 tilt, mainly the screw drive portion. These parts came with a rectangular control box that looks like the pictures from a 270 and has a four wire female connector on one of the three wire sets coming out of the box. It also has what looks like the motor cut off device attached and I thought those were on the 270's. The motor has a connector box with four spade connectors. If everything was working OK, I thought I would sell the remaining parts that I do not need. If I know how, I would include a picture for you

I have a 280 with the four wire plug,Is the motor 12 volts?I tested the power plug and it showed around 3 or 6 volts when I hit the toggle.I tried to give the motor 12 volts and nothing.Did I fry the motor this way?
