hello I'm the new kid on the block. I have a question I have a 1970 70 hp evenrude outboard I would like to hook up a volt meter does anyone have a (schematic)of how I could hook it up.<br /><br />thank you Jim :confused:

Hook up one wire to pos. (+) and one wire to neg. (-), on your battery. If the meter tries to go below "0", switch the wires. A good, hot battery should read about 13.5 VDC.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty

laker,<br /><br />Do you have any other guages on the boat?<br /><br />If you do, you need to run a positive lead from one of your other guages to the "I" terminal on the voltmeter and the ground "G" terminal to battery ground.
