voltage on kill wire

well i have connected my cdi boxes and finally my engine runs amazing at even 900 rpms...

but as i was playing around with kill wires i disconnected and got a shock from them..

should there be voltage threw the kill wires? if soo how much?

Thrilling, isn't it? The kill wires dump voltage from the capacitors inside the CD boxes to ground, preventing spark and stopping the engine. This is done through the blue wire on the ignition switch. If you touch them and are grounded anytime the engine is running or cranking you will be nailed with about 240 volts.

yes sir!!! that was one heck of a jolt...

ok thats great going to write up a detailed loooooong store for the records of my findings with my dear force 125 1988...

im hoping all is well but at least for the first time in 3 years i got to the bottom of this electrical issue
