I have been reading as much as I can about installing a temp gauge on my 1999 Yamaha Vmax 150. Its a OX66 fuel injected model. I see SIM has a sender "unit". The gauge they sell doesn't have a numerical reading. Just a cold and hot basically. I want actual temp. My question is, can I get a 14mm to 1/4" adapter to use a standard temp gauge? And is 14mm the correct thread for the sender hole? I hate not knowing actual temp of motor. And I know some will say a pressure gauge is more crucial. I might get one also.
