I have four winns 298 Vista from 2000 with Volvo penta kad 32 is somebody knows what type of speedometer is installed paddle wheel or pitot tube and where is located?

Hi there, the pitot tube should be in the same area as the white one like seen on the port side of center of this 2003 298,

Only what I have there is drain plug and some wheel next to it but I dont think that is paddle wheel cause is around with no any blades .
I read somewhere that some four winns have pitot in the drives ?

That one does look like a paddlewheel design and should be your speedometer.

Volvo wasn't putting the speedo hose in the drive back then...They only recently started putting one in the newer drive designs.

Do you have a depth finder that shows the MPH as well? < So 2 ways to read speed?

First owner bought everything what was possible to buy from additional equipment so I also have gps simrad shipmate cp32 but somebody stole plotter so all the rest is still installed on boat so I was thinking that that is maybe from gps? To be honest I was newer checking on depth finder what I noticed only depth. This will be now my second season with the boat so I am relatively still new and still exploring boat but it is good idea that maybe is paddle wheel installed under, or the best will be to try to trace from speedometer gauge

Probably your best bet right here. Check the back of the speedo guage, if there is a tube connected to a small barb fitting the gauge is air actuated via a pitot tube that transfers pressure from forward movement through the water from the pilot pickup mounted on the transom

Perhaps the previous owner broke the pitot pickup and simply used an accessory piece of equipment with the paddle wheel pictured for speed readings

Yes that's what I am gone do .
Everything is possible but i doubt he broke cause boat was in the water only three seasons ,when I bought it engines and generator have only 49 RH and apparently he was paying skipper to drive him around
