Merc 40hp 4cyl. I have milky exhaust. I was told it was oil residue or fogging from winter lay up. I have a photo if you dont mind looking at it. Just seems like alot of oil to me. I checked lower unit. oil is fine in it. Let me know if where to send photo. Thanks in advance.

It sounds like thats what it is, if you cked. the lower unit you know the odd oder of gear lube, so run it for a 1/2 hr or so and it should go away--Bob

That is normal after winter lay up youl notice it more after running it on the muffs not enough water to was it all out
