One of my 383 stroker crank pumps (raw water) is slightly miss-aligned. It, indeed, wobbles! Does anyone know of a video on how to adjust this pump. There is a lot of hardware in the way for me to totally see all of its fasteners, but it appears to have 3 bolts fastening it to the crank pulley. I've was told that the bolt holes are oblong to allow for out-of-round pulleys. Crank pumps usually have to be adjusted to be centered. This one wobbles too much and I am afraid metal fatigue of mounting hardware is sooner than later. I am performing some glass work but as soon as I am finished with this (one of many) task, I plan on removing some of the hardware mentioned above so that I can access pulley. I have been unsuccessful in locating a video. Perhaps some of you know the link? THX

Volvo uses them too What you should find is that the pump bolt holes are a bit too big for the bolts used. What I did was to machine up inserts to reduce the dia, down to the bolt size.Regular steel machined to a press fit in the flange holes and center drilled for the bolt size

The engine pully is installed with 3 fine thread bolts and a nose bolt and large washer I used allen head bolts to make it easier to install

I wonder if they make exact bolts? Or, do they make tapered ones? Having to machined the bolts seems a lot of work and extra $. I admit I have not had chance of closely examining pump since a lot of other stuff is a head of that project!

THX!

not machine the bolts. make inserts to reduce the diameter of the holes in the flange so a 3/8ths bolt is a snug fit.

I could not find any inserts so I made them If its necessary send me the pump and I`ll make them for your pump flange

Pump was incorrectly installed. Pulley has male indents pressed toward pump that precisely fit female on pump. Only one way pump will go on correctly. You can install incorrectly 2 different ways. Owner or his mechanic bolted on pump 120 degree out. At least my pulley and pump has these features. THX!
