My boat vibrates pretty good when not moving. Prop is very dinged up, but that wouldnt cause this problem. Ive read taht this could be a bent prop shaft...

Any ideas?

jcac,

You bet a dinged up prop will cause that problem. I would fix the prop. before I started looking at a bent shaft.

I just thought that the prop wasnt spinning at idle. I guess Im wrong and it is. When I say pretty dinged up, I mean really dinged up. The three tips of the blades are all bent back.

Thanks,

James

Does it shake at idle in gear or out of gear? In gear = what's already been said. If it's in neutral when it shakes it's probably time for a tune-up.
