My drive or engine has a vibration at between 1200 to2400 rpm,I have tried the trim in and out also with and without tabs.At higher revs there is no problem at all,my engine is a volvo 5.7dp dpc drive, the drive was serviced november 2005,new seals bellows etc.I do have a small ding in one prop, could this be the prob or should I be looking elsewhere.

Sounds like your prop to me. It's probably bent in addition to dinged.

The prop could be your vibration, while a small ding may not cause it, I had a customer who also stated he had a small ding and a vibration. Turns out his small ding was smaller than half a dime, it also had the tip of the blade bent over. New prop cured his problem.
You could also have bad ujoints, bent prop shaft, or for that matter, just a rough running engine, possibly a dead cylinder.

Re: Vibration at low speed

I experienced a vibration in my outdrive at lower RPM's this weekend. I hadn't hit anything, so I thought I might have picked up a piece of rope, ect. I dove in and checked it and found the whale fin on the outdrive had come loose...

Probably not your problem..but worth checking if you have one on it.

i think a bad gimbal bearing is also possible. I had similar symptoms and it turned out to be a yoke seal had separated from its carrier

If you determine its not your prop or drive components, I'd do a compression test next. I had a rough idle / low RPM problem recently...Turned out I lost compression on one of the cylinders.
