Vibrating water pump on 4.3GL

I was winterizing the boat this past weeekend and I have noticed all summer that my motor seems to vibrate more than I remember at idle. While waiting for it to warm up I noticed the impeller pump housing vibrating like crazy, when I put my hand on it I could really feel it. Is this the symptom of a bad bearing? Would it cause the motor to vibrate? There are no leaks and cooling works fine. I have read that you have to replace the whole assembly for about $200-$300. Should I replace the pump in the spring? Motor is a 2000 model year.

both my 4.3 gxi and my present 3.0l (which has a brand new pump) do it.

i,m led to believe that its ok

My 5.0GL does it too. A high frequency vibration that even makes the fuel pump vibrate too. I always figured it was just the balancer doing its thing.
