I have a 2016 mercury 115 four stroke that I recently installed the vessel view mobile module on. I'm really happy with this thing. It's shows almost everything you'd want to know. My question is about what it's not telling me. The app shows oil temp that's always -6f and sea temp that's thats always 32f (the water here in Florida is in the 80s). Last but not least the water pressure always reads 0.0lbs
Does my motor have sensors capable of giving me these values?
If not, can I install them on this motor?

I asked Mercury last year as some of mine were not showing results on my 115 outboard. Below is their response.

"Your engine comes from the factory with standard sensors and should display Oil Pressure and Coolant Temperature. The engine will need to be running for these items to show on the VesselView Mobile. You do not have the proper sensors to show Oil Temperature, Coolant Pressure, or Sea Temperature (unless installed by dealer but not common). If you are getting other engine data such as hours, rpm, fuel flow but not receiving oil pressure or coolant temperature then it is possible these sensors were removed and replaced with a different style to run analog gauges."

Thanks for your response. That's pretty much what I was expecting. Hopefully it's reasonably easy to do. I'm assuming the most challenging part will be the electrical stuff

Hi.

I have the 115 2016 2.1 litre. You can certainly get a reading on oil pressure but not temp from memory. You can also get a reading on water pressure and temperature.
as for the sea water temp, there is a calibration offset you need to adjust.
Best idea of all is to look for some second hand SC1000 gauges. They tell you everything and can adjust the lot to tune to perfection.
long story short, yeah your engine defo has all the sensors. But not the oil temp I’m sure.
