Vessel view code

I have a mercury 40 jet and had the hi pressure fuel pump go out. I replaced the fuel pump and I'm getting a warning beep now. It is inconsistent on the tone length and beep sequence. I hooked a vessel view up to it and it is showing a code 3061-2 Fuel Pump The out put signal from the ECU is short circuit or has too little resistance l. Any info on what this is?
