Very spotty email notification on thread subscriptions

I've noticed that in the last few weeks I have been getting very spotty email notification on replies to subscribed threads. Sometimes almost instantly, sometimes not at all. My default setting is "instantly using email", and I've added forums@iboats.com to my safe senders list in my email program. I have Verizon and Outlook 2007.

This feature used to work very well & I can't figure out what has changed.

I turned mine off . . . Maybe some of your are getting caught up in the Spam filter of your ISP?

I checked my spam filter @ ISP - emails that don't get through are sent to a spam folder I can look at.

Not sure if this will help, but I received an email from Verizon yesterday stating they were changing their server assignments again for "security and my online experience" in my area of Dallas.

I'm not aware of anything that has changed. I'll look around.

Thanks. I don't know if it means anything, but my Subscribed Threads list shows unread threads when I haven't received any emails, sometimes from hours or the day before, maybe more.

I was thinking that maybe it only sends it certain times a day or after so many new replies when you have a large list of subscriptions. Still reading on it.

I've been checking the time stamps on my recent notifications and they have been pretty much within a few minutes of the posts. Go figure! but it seems to be better.
