Very hot pisser 200 offshore

Good evening fellows, I replaced my impeller and gaskets with oem quiksilver parts, I have 2 questions. My pisser is very hot and it takes about 30 seconds to get the water, I also replaced the thermostats. It gets to 180- 190 while running in the water. The other questions maybe silly but is driving me nuts, I found something called connector assembly ( part # 85822A10 ) is a flexible tube with a closed end barb fitting next to the shaft,when I replaced my impeller. What does it do ? And does it need to be connected somewhere. Thank you in advance for your answers

other ? is its a speed-o-meter pick-up tube........

Thank you Duke, yes it was the speedometer tube...". Better late than never......

Its normal for "P" to be hot and temps a little high, I would run it in a barrel with some salt a way for several hour to clean water passages

I will do that, my buddy keeps telling that is the problem.
