Is there a right and left hand transmission?

And if so, how do I tell the difference?

The Chrysler 360 in my boat turns counter clockwise from the front, but the boat came with a 318...........

Just want to make sure everything is correct.

most velvet drive transmissions can be set up for either left or righthand rotation.
what yours is set up for we cant say.
the pump housing can be rotated 180 degrees to change the rotation.
