Well, after passing a boat the other day i had to give my engine full throttle, and due to a prop with too low of a pitch (getting a new one soon), the engine went all the way up to 5000 revs. I believe this 1996 Volvo Penta 3.0GSP is only supposed to get up to 4600-4700. Now, whenever the engine has been running for about half a minute, a weird knocking sound is coming out of the part of the valve cover that is closest to the transom. The oil level is fine, and I'm just wondering if this is OK.
