Hi,
I'm in the process of re-building a 1997 Volvo 3.0GS, but after hours of searching can't find the valve clearance figures. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks a lot :)

How can you possibly be rebuilding an engine, and be up to the point of adjusting the valves and not have a service manual. Please tell me you aren't just searching the internet for each little portion of the job. If that is the case, then you will be lucky if you ever get it running.
What is the full model number (need the letters after 3.0GS) or the Volvo SN and I can point you to the proper manual download.

Hi Don,
Thanks for the reply. Friend of mine is a mechanic (it's his boat) and has everything sorted (well, few little things to do too like timing etc.)

A service manual would be absolutely excellent! The engine is the 3.0 GS PNCA

Thanks for the help

Don - Mucho respect! You're right, went out the back and looked at the HIN - It is infact a 96!

It's not uncommon for a boat to have a year newer or older than the boat itself. They are not tied together in any way.

I realise that. I have a Sealine (2003 hull) with a 2002 Volvo Diesel thrown in there.

What engine is in it?
