I have a 1958 Elgin 7.5 hp Model# 571 58782 Ser# 782 17569. It runs great and looks good, no missing parts, no dings dents only some paint wear. I'm trying to find a ballpark value for this outboard but can't find a website thats been of any help.
My friend just bought a 63, same hp, in the Want Ads for $100, run's too. I want it! Sure a collector would have paid more but someone sold it just as a running motor. I'm guessing 4 or 5 hundred to the right buyer.....
