Outboard runs strong. No issues with compression. Has power trim.

Thoughts on value of selling it outright?

Thanks.

A strong running V-6 of that vintage around here would be listed on CL for $1800-2000 as an asking price ................ never telling how much money the people accepted oh and that is with controls.

I purchased a 115 V-4 a few years ago along with some other trivial boat parts and I spent $700

Hmm, that would be nice to get that much for the motor. Really debating whether I want to spend the time to rebuild this boat or simply sell off the parts and move on to another boat. A good price for that motor would definitely cover the expenses.

Thanks for the response.

Whats wrong with the boat?

That motor should be bulletproof.

I was going to say the same thing, that motor with the controls should be worth about 2 grand. Good running outboards are always worth something, especially the 150+hp ones.

The boat is a cap-off rebuild. Rotten stringers, Seacast transom that was poured incorrectly, which resulted in the cap not fitting on correctly.

Just not sure if I have the time to rebuild it right now, so my thought is to recoup the expense on the boat and simply buy one that will get me back in the water sooner than later.
