I have a model #33025, ser # B1630,Lightwin 3hp(?),2 cylinder,2 cycle, water cooled OB made in Belgium by OMC SA. It ran when shoved in a corner of the garage about 10 years ago, but probably all gunked up now. Is this worth fixing, and what might it be worth as is, and running again? I do recall it was very quiet and smooth, and we used to use it on an inflatable Sea Eagle.
Thanks for any info.

I picked up a 1973 4hp

Running - kind of.

Cleaned the carb, replaced the impeller, new plugs, and it now runs perfectly. (<$20 in parts)

I paid $20 for it.

Also, it looks like its in mint condition. I spotted it on craigslist 2 weeks after it was posted, and the guy still had it. So not much demand. But there are people willing to pay $1,100 for a new one, so who knows.

Thanks, all. Maybe I'll try to refurbish it now that I'm retired and have more time. I just dont have much use for it (no boat), but maybe I need a hobby.

....no boat.....

First get that engine running. Then find a boat that needs "fixin' up" to put the engine on. Then find a bigger boat that's in need of restoration/rebuilding, and before you know it you won't have to figure out what to do with whatever money you currently have. :D
