Yea, it's me again...
I had zero problems with my 200, but this 175 is giving me fits..
When doing a link-N-sync,(By the book) all is well until I check WOT travel.....I'm coming up short on that. If I remove the Cam shoulder bolt and screw the cam out on the nylon linkage attachment, reset roller (which does not line up with the reference mark at this point), I can get WOT, but pull back to Idle and it's out of kelter there. The cam is smooth as a baby's butt, and the roller is in great shape, no excess slack anywhere..
If I start from the begining and sync as specified, I lose a bit of travel at WOT-carb arms move atleast another 1/8" travel and I have looked, and no, they are not making it to horizontal.
Ideas????

Compare the throttle roller diameter with a new one. Usually the outer sleeve comes apart leaving the baby butt smooth inner roller. ;)

The "CAM" is smooth, seahorse....the roller is good..there is a dark area where the cam run against it, but it hasn't separated like some do..I know what you speak of and yes, that shortens the stroke of movement...
I measured the roller on my 200 with a mic and this one on the 175 "might" be 1-2 thou smaller is all. I have a new one on the 200.
I'm thinking the cam is Too smooth, as in somewhere along the line, it has been filed smooth....
Guess I'll buy a cam..???

Kenny....don't know what year the horse is, but some had a throttle stop screw at the bottom of the throttle lever. Adjusting this for more throw of the control cable should give you the throttle plate opening your looking for. I don't think you need to mess with the cam to get the throttle plates flat.
