Been diving in the Virgin Islands but never camped there. I can only imagine camping would be nothing short of spectacular. Are you cruising over?

Cruising over would be nice...but nah, we'll have to fly into St. Thomas & water taxi over. One of the campgrounds has bare sites, but BYO camping gear would be a bit tricky. Might be able to fedex it in & out, but they have woodframe tents w/some amenities at reasonable rates. We're still in the early stages of research - but I've learned that an 18ft center console with 90hp can be rented for two days for around $400 - I'll be looking for something a bit more...economical. I'm more a kind of do-it-yourself tourist.

I'm planning on making the trip to Bimini this August, long weekend. Trailer the boat, bring the family to Ft. Lauderdale, give the wife some money for shopping, and she won't even notice you're gone for 3-4 days!!!

Seriously though, if you are a diver the Virgin Islands are AWESOME! There may be some outfitters where you could rent some camping gear, but the woodframe tents sound great. That's how we did summer camp when I was a kid. I just recently did a trip to Cozumel and was able to rent a small motorboat for the day for about 85 US dollars. It was a 16' with a 100, it was a great time. I found the rental AFTER we got there, usually you can wheel and deal once you get there.
