understand the principle but can you tell me
how you rig them and when you use them and what
type of hooks I need???
thanks in advance,
M.Y.
MY ,I use fireline for my trailers and a small
snap to attatch to jig head or bait, lure.
Depending on the rig lenght I make adjustments to
suit length. At the end of the trailer I use a
small treble hook, sometimes just left to follow along or on bait attatched with a barb near the
end of the rig. Works for me.
it used to be hard to find a hook with an eye big enough to slip over the main hook- but now you can buy a whole pack of em at BPS. i mainly use them on 'safety-pin' style spinnerbaits & spoons with single hooks (not the treble kind).

you slip them over barb on main hook so that they point same direction. put a piece of rubber on main hook to keep them in place. even better is slipping the little piece of clear rubber hose on the trailer's eye, so the main hook's barb goes thru it - it holds well.
