Used Maxum

Hello. I have had a few boats over the years and know many of the things to ask when buying a used boat.

I am considering a 2001 Maxum 185. I have no experience with this brand. Should I be concerned about anything specifically to Maxum?

its a 21 year old boat (which means consider it a project). so condition means everything

other than that, Maxum no longer exists as a brand.

it was a low-level brunswick brand (bayliner/searay/maxum)

^^^ yup.

Max wasn't a bad boat, but it was entry level. Lots of the outboard versions were sold with Force outboards, so watch for that as well.
