Used Johnson 150 OK?

I'm looking at a used 1999 Johnson 150 - model J150PXEES Outboard. Anyone have any comments on this motor good or bad? Freshwater. I know to check compression and the lower gear case. Anything else specific to this model to look for? Thanks.<br /><br />-- Bud

That should be the carb'd 60 degree looper. <br /><br />Horrible motor. We're asking all concerned persons to buy them and ship them here to get them off the street. We're willing to pay freight.<br /><br />Seriously -- a fantastic motor. I dont think you can go wrong if its in decent shape. The basic design is very very good.
