Not sure if this has been posted here by just FYI
There is a site that has been scamming folks out of money looming like the USCG. They make it look legit and they will renew your documentation for 75 when it actually cost 29. I think its also being helped out by google with dead links. If you get something in the mail, just throw it away.

The USCG site to pay is a dot GOV site, and so is the USCG site. The scammers site is a dot US, or dot center, or dot org
They all use either usvesseldocumentation or uscgdocumentation

Thanks for the heads up AllDodge

Please send me (PM or my email) the link to the site. My brother just got a Grady-White 305 that is USCG documented. He told me that he had a 'company' do the documentation transfer paperwork. Just want to make sure he did not get scammed.

I know this is an old thread, but never hurts to remind boat owners about it. If you ever need to renew your Coast Guard documentation, only go to the real CG Doc office and renew for $26. If the website wants $75, you are on a scammers website
