Our wonderful whackos are at it again: terror flights

Erm, how on earth do they expect these suspects do be transported? Walking? Perhaps our Government (UK) want them to fly themselves?

Personally I don't care two hoots how they get the bad guys, how they transport them or where they take them to. Heck I don't even care if they manage to get them to their final destination alive :D

Is this story being reported in the US?

Re: US Guilty of Terror Flights?

From what is being reported here they are just suspects (and I did put a smiley face to show I wasn't being wholly earnest about them being killed en-route). I'm just getting a bit sick of the way our media here is portraying the US and the administration as the bad guys all the time.

It's also a bit personal to me: the airport that the US are using predominantly (Prestwick, scotland) is where I used to be stationed. Still visit occassionally and I have noticed an increase in US military air traffic but assumed it was part of the ongoing ops in Iraq.

Just curious as to whether this story was making the news in the US?

yea its making the news but not much that I consider reliable news.
about the only reliable news is from the pentagon that about 2000 "suspects" were released from gitmo and other places after a 3 year detention and given 30 dollars and a buss ride back.
no trials, hearings or convictions just an oops and here take 30 dollars and go home and spread the word about democracy.

Well I give our Military and Goverment a little more credit rodbolt.

But I also think we need people like you for checks and balance. To keep our Goverment in check!

They were taken during a war. Most were likely peons but still thats 2000 less our troops had to deal with and they were not killed.

Remember that a lot of the Taliban fighters were NOT there because they wanted to be. It was a choice they had to make. Them and their family could be killed or they (the men could join and fight) family spared!

Given the choice I would do the same.

If captured or killed the family was still spared!
And over there you can change sides, as long as you (save face as we say) do it with honor.
Now they go back home to join their family with honor. 3 years is a small price to pay for comming home to a wife and kids that are still alive.

I could be as wrong as two left feet here. But that is what I have read. And told.
Maybe rolmops or others can shed some lite on this! :)

Funny how those "oppps" are popping up and being re-arrested or killed in action. Kinda odd for people who don't want to fight don't you think?

Stan the story here is more about the "secret" CIA prisons.

The only problem I have with torture is that it might provide incorrect information.

People will make things up to stop it.

Ken
