Alright, I'm at a loss.

I can't get any water to pump through the sea water pump. Do i need to prime it? We've tried everything we can think of. And second, where do I hook up water muffs to get a good seal on this drive?

Thanks,
Logan

Shouldn't need to prime it, is the impeller ok, how old is the impeller? Even better, what engine is it?

Sorry, It's an aq130c. The impeller is fine and not old at all. I think it might be in the leg. The raw water pump seems to pump water if i fill the hose up.

It's definently in the leg part. If i run a hose from the raw water pump to a bucket, it pumps plenty of water through. So, does anyone have a suggestion for my next move? Thanks

Look at the hose connection where the hose from the transom shield attaches to the drive.
That connection corrodes away and you get an air leak.
No way will the pump pull water up if it has air.

Thanks for the help Don, it looks fine. I'll take a closer look tomorrow, but it all seemed to look alright. What else could it be, if anything?

While your at it, take a look at the outdrive pivot tube. If there is excessive freeplay, the seals won't seal and it will suck air.

You won't be able to see the problem by looking at it, grab the hose and see if it will move around.

It sounds like he is not sure where to connect the muffs?
