Upgrading to NFB Safe-T steering

Hello,

I have a 80's era Glastron ski boat with a 115 HP engine. The current Safe-T steering mechanism appears original and does not have the "no feedback" feature.

A few questions:

- Is this easy to replace on my own? Ex. Simply switch out the steering wheel mechanism?

- Are there any issues the NFB system? Is it worth switching?

Thank you!

Easy to replace? That would depend on how hard/easy it is to remove/install the cable, the helm itself is easy to install.

I love the NFB I installed as it keeps the boat tracking straight, wheel doesn't turn if I'm trolling and idling along, and there isn't any torque steer getting on plane. The only issue is "break" (for lack of a better term) pressure it takes to start turning the wheel, once you get used to it, it's no biggie.
