i ran it last weekend and had no problems at all,the power head is rebuilt just to let you know, at wot the motor runs perfect, as i drop it down to about half throttle ,then its like its flooding or starving for fuel, its a loss of power and then all of a sudden it gets a power serg and runs right and then back to the bad running i nail it and at wot not even a miss,it runs fine. slow it down and it wants to die and then go ,

May be dirt in the carb, fuel starvation.Could also be a bad coil.Clean out the carb(s) first..

I tend to agree with Reel Appeal. Check the idle jets for pluggage. Also recheck your sync and link. May also want to make sure the primer solenoid is not at fault also. Make sure the little red handle is not turned up in the manual position. With the engine running, pinch the the primer hoses closed and see if the idle improves.

Hey Tim,<br />Have you checked out the fuel lines? Is the bulb staying firm? Does speed increase when you pump the bulb up? Have you tried pushing the key in to choke it when it starts to die? Are the Carbs. adjusted properly(Lync and sync)? Mixture set correctly? Are the floats adjusted parallel to the bowl? Just some starters to think about. I would lean toward the Carb adjustment first. Then check to make sure a float isn't sticking. Have you rebuilt the Carbs before?(Don't remember) Also, what do the plugs look like when this happens? Try pulling them when it does it(On the Water if possible) and make a mental note of how they looked(Wet,Dry,Ect). That would tell if it's starving for fuel or flooding out. If you can run full out, I doubt that it's an electrical problem. Let us know what's going on....

the primer bulb is hard no problems there, when i push the key in it dies ,when i pump the primer bulb it dies, yes the carbs did get redone when the power head was rebuilt, i forgot somthing ,whenn i went to shut it down ,i turned the key off and the motor raced and i had to dump the carbs to kill it?

If it died when you pumped the bulb I would agree that it is a stuck/sticking float or bad/fouled float seat. Pumping the bulb should not flood (e.g. kill) the engine if the float and seat duo are functioning properly.

Very true slow_boat!! Pull the carbs down and double check everything, including the float level. Clean them again and blow out with compressed air. If you don't have access to compressed air, go to a best buy or office depot and buy a couple cans of compressed air.(Meant for cleaning computers). Or go to the nearest auto parts store and pick up a adapter that you would hook on a gas station air pump to blow up ski tubes. Head down to the station and blow them out!!
