This is a followup to the VHF question that I posted last week. I took the radio (Standard Horizon Quest) to a two-way radio shop and had them check the output. It was only putting out one watt (or slightly less) through the antenna. So, we checked the PL-259 and it was definately the problem. After replacing the crimp-on connector with a soder-on style connector, the radio peaked at 22 watts. So, it was indeed the connector the whole time. I really appreciate all of the help you guys gave me on this one!

Todd in TX
